Driving Recovery Forward
Tank Nurse Consulting was built on firsthand experience, not just professional training.
After navigating personal challenges and learning how to advocate within complex systems, it became clear how overwhelming and frustrating the recovery process can be for injured workers. That experience shaped everything we do today, with a focus on advocacy, communication, and helping people move forward with confidence.

Our Story
Jordan Kretzschmar is originally from Northern Minnesota, where a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach to problem solving were part of everyday life. Growing up as the son of a chiropractor created an early understanding of care, recovery, and the importance of helping others.
After earning the rank of Eagle Scout, the journey into service began by joining the Minnesota National Guard before graduating high school. Early work included armament repair and vehicle maintenance, supporting both tanks and wheeled vehicles.
Using military benefits, a career in healthcare began as a Licensed Practical Nurse, working in a medical-surgical unit with a focus on neurological care, including stroke and spinal injuries.
During that same time, a major turning point occurred.
A service-related back injury led to surgery and the need to personally navigate the recovery process. This experience provided a real understanding of how complex and frustrating the system can be, and how important it is to have someone advocating on your behalf.
Experience That Matters
After recovery, service continued in the Army Reserves as a nurse, with assignments that included Germany, Fort Hood, and the Pentagon. These experiences, combined with work in clinical settings, home health, and mental health, created a well-rounded understanding of patient care across a wide range of situations.
Work in utilization review also provided experience on the insurance side, offering insight into how decisions are made behind the scenes and how cases are evaluated. This perspective is critical when helping clients navigate the full scope of a work injury claim.
After completing a Registered Nurse degree, the focus shifted toward helping injured workers more directly.
